Fields and Aims of the Palm-Foundation

The Palm-Foundation is a non-profit organisation located in Schorndorf, county of Baden-Wuerttemberg, in Southern Germany. It was founded an legally registered in 1995. The initiators and donors of the foundation´s capital were the pharmacists Maria and Johann-Philipp Palm.

Our agenda

schooling and education
youth and sports
science and research
preservation of historical monuments and local heritage
welfare of the elderly and handicapped
advancement of democracy and civil society
social and charitable responsibilities of the protestant church

Due to our founders´ historical family backgrounds, our work is specifically geared towards the city of Schorndorf and the region of Saxonian Upper Lusatia.

Please note: Due to German law we are

not working internationally - only in Germany
not supporting individuals - only organisations or institutions

Only exception to this rule is the international Johann-Philipp-Palm-Award for Freedom of Speech and the Press.

There is no entitlement to the right of support by the Palm-Foundation. The Board´s decision about the support of a project or organisation is final.
