Being located in the very heart of Schorndorf - within eyeshot of church and town hall - inhabitants and owners of Dr. Palm´s Pharmacy have always been aware of their responsibilities in and for the community. Over the centuries, they have always been committed to honorary positions in church, social welfare or public benefits. The Palm-Foundation maintains this tradition as a family-based non-profit organisation also in the fields of welfare of the elderly and handicapped as well as social and charitable responsibilities of the (protestant) church.

Due to our founders´ historical family backgrounds, our work is specifically geared towards the city of Schorndorf and the region of Saxonian Upper Lusatia.

Please note: According to German law we are

• not working internationally - just in Germany
• not supporting individuals - just organisations or institutions

Only exception to this rule is the international  Johann-Philipp-Palm-Award for Freedom of Speech and the Press.

There is no entitlement to the right of support by the Palm-Foundation. The Board´s decision about the support of a project or organisation is final.
